Creamy Maple Spread
Portions / Servings: 500 g
- 170 g maple sugar
- 285 g maple syrup
- 200 g 35% whipping cream
- 20 g cornstarch
- 30 g butter
Put the maple sugar or maple flakes in the mixing bowl. Mix 10 sec / speed 10.
Add maple syrup and heat 10 min / 90° / speed 3.
Add cream and cornstarch. Mix 5 sec / speed 5 then cook 13 min / 120° / speed 2 without the measuring cup but with the simmering basket on top to avoid projections.
The preparation has thickened. Add the butter and mix 5 min / speed 4 without the measuring cup.
Put in jars.
- Can be kept unopened 2 months in the refrigerator and 4 weeks if opened. Delicious on morning toast, or on waffles or pancakes.
- "Naughty" garnish to put between two cookies or shells of macaroons!
